Host an apprentice, no employment risk. ATT's group apprenticeship scheme is our flagship service. We recruit, employ and support the apprentice. You train them on the job. No employment risk, no admin overload.
About this service
Group Apprenticeship is ATT’s flagship model. ATT is the legal employer of the apprentice, taking on payroll, PAYE, holiday pay, and everything else that comes with compliance, so you don’t have to.
You still get to grow your own tradies, your way. The apprentice works on your site, under your supervision, just as they would if you’d taken them on directly. We also handle the mentoring and pastoral care side, so there’s support in place if things get tough for the apprentice. You’re the host business. We’re the employer.
It works for trade businesses of any size, but it’s especially good for operators who want to bring someone through without building the systems to manage an apprentice’s employment on their own.
The process
We meet with you to understand your business, your trade, and the apprentice you're after.
We search for and screen candidates suited to your trade.
You interview and choose your apprentice.
We employ them. You train them on the job.
We manage everything else. You focus on your business.
What ATT manages
Host businesses pay a weekly hosting fee to ATT. It brings the apprentice’s wages, employment costs, and ATT’s management service into one clear fee, so you’re not managing separate costs across payroll, training, support and compliance.
The hosting fee can look higher than employing an apprentice directly at first glance. That’s because it includes far more than wages alone. ATT covers employment administration, leave costs, payroll, compliance, apprentice support, and training coordination. You also don’t pay separately for leave, block courses, or public holidays.
Your quote is tailored to your trade, location, and the apprentice’s stage of training.

If your workload changes or the arrangement is no longer the right fit, ATT offers a flexible 3-week handback option. Speak with our team as early as possible so we can discuss the best next steps. We then try to find the apprentice another host business so they can complete their apprenticeship.
ATT provides ongoing support throughout the apprenticeship, including regular contact, site visits, mentoring, and help with challenges that may affect training progress. The goal is to help apprentices stay engaged and complete their qualification.
Yes. Businesses can host multiple apprentices, provided there is enough suitable work, supervision, and learning opportunities available. ATT can help determine what is appropriate for your business.
In most cases, apprentices stay with the same host business for the duration of their apprenticeship. However, circumstances can change, and ATT works with both the apprentice and host business to find the best outcome if a placement needs to be reviewed.
